Color: Brindle White
Age: 6 years 3 months
Date of Birth: October 5, 2018

Once Nova is your friend, she is there to stay, she turns into such a playful pup, with just the right amount of sweetness. However, this girl can struggle with strangers and people she doesn't know, especially if they intrude into her space with no respect for her boundaries. She needs people who are kind and can support her in these situations to help her feel safe and secure. Otherwise, she becomes very uncomfortable, and this can cause her to react out of fear and insecurity (vocal). To help keep Nova safe and support her when she is in worrying situations or there are lots of new people, Nova will happily wear a muzzle as she is fully muzzle trained. This is a fantastic tool that can be used to continue her education and build her confidence in a safe and supported manner.
She needs a single dog household with no small furries or cats, and where she can enjoy getting all the attention to herself. Outside of the home, Nova will happily walk around other dogs and interact with them, she just isn't ready to share her family with another dog.
We will consider homes with older, dog savvy children. She needs individual time, love and attention. She will make a cracking dog with this help and assistance. Nova's new family will need to come to the centre to meet her a number of times and to build a bond with her - and be mindful of these stranger worries when in the home, and out and about.
Nova is an extremely clever and loving girl who once she trusts you, will give you the world in love and attention, something you just can't buy!! This is a really special girl, who just needs a chance!

Age: 1 years 2 months
Date of Birth: October 29, 2023
Agency: RSPCA Sheffield

Since Goose has returned hes been a delight. This boy is a typical bully youngester who lovers everyone and everything he meets, including the vets! He loves to be up close and personal with you and will climb up onto your knee for fusses, cuddles and kisses! He has been like this from day one, - he never stopped being a happy little soul.
Goose picks up training really well and is super smart - we think he would flourish further with more training, to keep his brain engaged. He is brilliant in the house and loves his crate, for naps and breaks. He can still forget himself and at times, act like a little toddler and have the odd tntrum when he doasnt get his way but this is why we are looking for a family, that can help support him through this, and are happy to give him the time he needs.
While here Goose has made a number of dog friends but is still learning correct behaviours and maners around these introductions, but may be ok with a tolerant dog pal.We think Goose could live with dog experienced secondary schhol age children that understand and are used to bouncy dogs but this will be pending successful meet and greets to ensure everyone is comfy.
Goose is looking for a home where his new family, are happy to support him with the above, and who can show this boy that his forever family is out there.

Flash
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Species: Cat
Size: Medium
Gender: Male
Color: White Black
Age: 4 years 9 months
Date of Birth: April 14, 2020
Agency: RSPCA Sheffield
Email: customerservices@rspcasheffield.org
Phone: 01142 898050
Flash is a handsome boy who really enjoys the company of people but that isnt always having a fuss or cuddle, he quite enjoys just being sat with and being around his favorite people, he even closely supervises us while we clean his cat pen to make sure we are doing it right and folding all of his blankets correctly! He loves his creature comforts and fluffy blankets. He will have a fuss and give you lots of head bumps but all on his terms! We have noticed he does have a rather cheeky side and will give out the odd nip when he's feeling sassy or just a little too excited! We strongly suspect this is overstimulation and with more space and fun things to do in a home this should calm down. Poor flash had to be rested with little fun and playtime so this behaviour is understandable at this point with him only being a young boy he probably feels quite frustrated.
Flash will need to be able to go out and blow off some steam in his new home, with no other pets and children of secondary school age and over who can understand his quirky nature.
Do you have room for our Flash?

Princess Margerhita
Breed: Caine Corso (Italian Mastiff) Cross
Species: Dog
Size: Large
Gender: Female
Color: Black
Age: 1 years 5 months
Date of Birth: July 18, 2023
Agency: RSPCA Sheffield

Phone: 01142 898050
Princess Margherita, sadly was left abandoned, tied up, all alone with no care. With a condition called Cherry eye. Thankfully someone found her and contacted the Inspectors, who brought her to us. Now her eye is all healed she’s ready to find her forever home.
Despite her past Princess has been nothing but amazing, and she doesn't let anything hold her back. However recently she has become a little unsure of new people in some settings and will try to avoid these situations. when she does become nervous or unsure we just hang about and help her work through it in her own time, with no pressure just lots of rewards.
Once she is your friend, boy is she your friend!! This girl becomes super friendly, she adores to be with you and loves going on adventures. She will climb up onto your knee for fusses, cuddles and kisses! Princess doesn’t know what personal space is!!
We don't know Princess full background, but with her nervous and unsure nature at times we think she will be best with older teens and adults, but they must be confident around big, bouncy dogs. We will of course do meets to make sure everyone is comfortable. They must also have experience with nervous large, guardian breed dogs, and be comfortable to continue with Princess socialisation and training.
While here Princess has made several dog friends, so again she could possibly live with another dog, but she can be quite full on with her play. So, any dog must be, confident, able to cope with Princess but also tell her off when needed and show her the way. It will of course all be pending successful meet and greets.
Any new family must be willing to continue Princess training and even potentially take her to classes, as well as be ok with young bouncy dogs. Her new family should also have experience with Cane Corso or similar guardian breed ownership.
Could you offer Princess Margherita a new life?
Fern (Flower)
Breed: Lurcher
Species: Dog
Size: Medium
Gender: Female
Color: Brindle
Age: 7 years 7 months
Date of Birth: June 3, 2017
Agency: RSPCA Sheffield
Email: customerservices@rspcasheffield.org

From the begining Fern has been a little sweetheart and just wants to be everyones friend. Typical of her breed she doesn’t know her size and will try to be a lapdog. She is such a clever lady when she is engaged, she just wants to please 🙂 She loves her tennis balls, and will play all day if you let her.
When she is out and about, we have introduced Fern to other dogs and she has walked alongside calm dog friends while here. She can be a little picky when it comes to her walking pals, and so we feel, Fern would be better as the only pet in the home. So she can have all the love and attention she deserves.
Fern just loves to be with her people and will smother you in affection, we think she would be ok to live with dog savvy children who have experienced large dogs and a secure garden is a must.
Ragetti (Bronson)
Breed: Bulldog (French)
Species: Dog
Size: Medium
Gender: Male
Color: Sable
Age: 4 years 6 months
Date of Birth: July 4, 2020
Agency: RSPCA Sheffield
Email: customerservices@rspcasheffield.org
Phone: 01142 898050
Being a French bulldog he sadly doesn’t come without a few health issues stapled to his breed. For this reason, we are looking for a flat faced experienced home or a family that have done extensive research and are comfortable managing and affording these for the rest of his life. More details on this will be given to potential matches, but he does suffer from skin allergies that require baths and regular ear cleaning.
Despite all his medical procedures he has been nothing but a trooper throughout. Sadly, this has left him with reactivity towards strangers, but he has been through a lot in the time he’s been with us. To help support Raggetti with this he is now fully muzzle trained so, when he is in situations, he’s not comfortable with, he can be kept safe.
He loves going on adventures. He will climb up onto your knee for fusses, cuddles and kisses, but can take time to warm up to you. For this reason, any new family must be able to come to the centre to meet Raggetti multiple times a week to build a bond before he can go home, and this might be a slow process, but it will be so worth it as once he’s your friend he's the best boy.
With his nervous nature we think he will be better suited to a quiet home with, adults and older teens, ideally with stranger reactivity experience. A dog savvy cat is a maybe too, but he is quite a space invader and will be a little intrusive.
While here Ragetti has made a number of dog friends, so again he could possibly live with another dog. They will need to be happy to have a very rude in your face and giddy Frenchie wanting to play with them. It will of course all be pending successful meet and greets.

Age: 5 years 10 months
Date of Birth: March 5, 2019
Agency: RSPCA Sheffield
Email: customerservices@rspcasheffield.org
Phone: 01142 898050
From the beginning Drago has been a big, loveable, sweetie and just wants to be everyone’s friend. Typical of his two breeds (Shepherd and Mastiff), he is very chatty, and he doesn’t know his size and will try to be a lapdog. He is such a clever chap, he just wants to please 🙂 He loves spending time with his sister but equally he enjoys time alone - getting that one-on-one attention.
When he is out and about, we have introduced Drago to other dogs, and he has walked alongside calm dog friends while here. He can be a little vocal at first, but this is just him talking, and he does it more when his sister is with him - double trouble hehehe.
Drago would love a home with his sister Belle - but we would consider splitting if the right two homes came along and could give them the lives they deserve.
Drago just loves to be with his people and will smother you in affection, we think he would be ok to live with dog savvy primary school age children who have experienced large dogs and a secure garden is a must.

She is such a clever girl, she just wants to please 🙂 She loves spending time with her brother but equally she enjoys time alone - getting that one-on-one attention.
Bella does suffer from ear infections - and does need regualr ear cleaning, and checks to avoid them getting nfected, but she is so good for this.
When she is out and about, we have introduced Bella to other dogs, and she has walked alongside calm dog friends while here. She can be a little vocal at first, but this is just her talking, and she does it more when her brother is with her - double trouble hehehe.

Shadow
Breed: German Shepherd
Species: Dog
Size: Large
Gender: Male
Color: Black and Tan
Age: 0 years 11 months
Date of Birth: January 21, 2024
Agency: RSPCA Sheffield
Email: customerservices@rspcasheffield.org
Phone: 01142 898050
Shadow is not only beautiful, but he is also big, and cuddly but this all ads to his charm we think. Since his first day he has been nothing but a pleasure, making friends or rather admirers everywhere he goes, including the vets!! He can be a little shy to begin with and take a few minutes to warm up to you, but once he is happy - you soon see the giddy young lad he is. He loves zoomies and toys, but equally loves to sit on our knee for snuggles!
Typical of the breed, Shadow does need daily brushing to keep his coat clean and matt free, but he is happy for this to happen. Alongside this he is full of energy, and is always on the go, so would love a home where he can have a job to do - maybe some obedience, flyball or agility work to help keep him fit mentally and physically.
With his super friendly nature we think he will be ok to live with dog savvy children, he has done previously but they must be comfortable around, giddy, large breed & bouncy dogs, ideally having lived with one too. We will of course do meets to make sure everyone is comfortable.
While here Shadow has made a number of dog friends, so again he could possibly live with another dog. They will need to be happy to have a silly, goofy, in your face and youngster wanting to play with them. It will of course all be pending successful meet and greets.
Shadow will need a family, that has enough space both inside and out with a secure 6ft garden, and ideally have experience or extensively researched the breed.
Cindy Lou Who
Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Species: Cat
Size:
Gender: Female
Color: Tortie
Age: 3 years 0 months
Date of Birth: December 23, 2021
Agency: RSPCA Sheffield
Email: customerservices@rspcasheffield.org
Phone: 01142 898050
Upon arrival Cindy was a little unsure and chose to hide away - but not for long! Within a few days she had settled right in and was more than happy coming out to see us and bossing us all around! She did get a stressy tummy so is on a special diet at the moment but should be able to be weaned back over to a normal diet when she moves into her forever home.
Cindy Lou is a very very sweet and chatty lady! She enjoys company and spending time with her carers having lots of fusses and attention. She is quite a lively little cat and is looking for a home that can give her lots of attention and fun things to do, to keep her mind occupied or we could see her getting a little overstimulated.
Cindy may be able to live with another cat but that is very dependent on the resident cat’s personality as they will need to be very similar to her or we feel she will be a little too much for them. A home with cat savvy primary school age children and over would be ideal - but as always, we will do meet and greets here at the centre to ensure everyone is comfortable first.
Could you offer our pretty little lady her new forever home?

Merlin
Breed: Domestic Shorthair

Age: 2 years 1 months
Date of Birth: December 1, 2022
Agency: RSPCA Sheffield
Email: customerservices@rspcasheffield.org
Phone: 01142 898050
Sadly the world is a scary place to Merlin and he is really looking for a new home with no extra pressures and where he can learn to put his paws up and relax.
When he arrived it was clear he hadn't had a lot of socialisation and so humans were very scary to him so we have had to take it at his pace and very slow and steady to ensure we have some positive interactions with our boy. Merlin now has a few favourite people that he will come out to chat to, have fusses and sit with and others he doesn't. You have to build a relationship with this boy, but once you are there, he is such a sweet and loveable little character.
Every day we see improvements with his carers that he has bonded with and so we know he can live happily with the right family so thought we would start the hunt for his forever home. Merlin needs very understanding people who realise that if he becomes a little sassy or angry that it is all fear, and he is having to learn to live in a world that is completely new to him. Ideally a home that has nervous cat experience and no other pets or young children would be perfect for him.
If you have the space for our boy, please send us over a completed application form to customerservices@rspcasheffield.org - we can't process your form without.

Date of Birth: December 1, 2022
Agency: RSPCA Sheffield

When he first arrived it was clear that Bear had had limited interations with people and hadn't had alot of socilaisation, he was very fearful of the unknown and would lash out. We got to work tempting him to spend time near and with us with yummy goodies! He will now have fusses from his favoirte people and give us positive signs to show he is enjoying this! He is also extremely chatty to them and really enjoys the time with the people he knows. Bear is still very sensitive to sounds and quick movements, he will retreat to his safe space when he is startled and so his new family need to be patient and understanding with him. Bear is also very overstimulated at times and can be a little sharp, pointy and grabby when feeling this way, so some understanding of this will be needed too.
We feel now that it is best to try and find Bear his forever family to support him and love him. Ideally with nervous cat experience to support when the world feels a little too much, with no other pets and teenage children and over.
We know the right people are out there for our boy and we feel when he settles he will make someone an awesome addition to the family. Could that be with you?
If you feel you have what Bear needs and would like to apply for him please send a completed application form to customerservices@rspcasheffield.org - we can't process your application without one.

Holly

Age: 2 years 0 months
Date of Birth: January 9, 2023
Agency: RSPCA Sheffield
Email: customerservices@rspcasheffield.org
Phone: 01142 898050
Here we have two special girls up for rehoming. Holly (tabby and white pictured) and Ivy (Black and white) came to us as they could no longer stay where they were.
Both of these girls have seen very little of the world and are very fearful of the unknown - people and situations. On the cattery they chose to spend a lot of time hidden away and using their various hiding spots to navigate around their pen.
Our dedicated team have been working very hard to show them love and kindness - and each day they get better. Miss Holly will now spend time out and about in the daytime watching everyone and even giving her favourite people a little head bump and sniff - Ivy is still more reserved but she too is spotted taking it all in. We know they are playful little ladies as every morning they have played with and thrown around every toy in their pen!
We now feel that it is the right thing to try and find them their new forever home. The girls are bonded so we want them to go somewhere together. They can live with other cats but no dogs or young children (teens and over) as they need a quiet and relaxed home that isn't too busy or noisy while they continue to develop their socialising and human interactions. It's important that their new family have a lot of patience, space and time and have had experience with owning nervous cats.
We would consider the girls going out on a two week foster to adopt basis initially so we can better support them and their new family. They may never be lap cats but we feel they could be lovely companions for the right family.
If you think you could help our girls, please send over a completed application to customerservices@rspcasheffield.org - we can't process your application without!

As to be expected he first arrived it Nicholas wasn't sure what was happening, who we were and as a result this caused him to be upset, choosing to hide away and panic when approached. We got to work tempting him to spend time near and with us with yummy goodies!
Fast forward a few weeks, Nicholas would have gentle fusses from his favourite people and give us lots of head bumps and happy purrs! With his favourite people he will come and happily spend time having huge cuddles and fusses, so we know that once Nic is comfy he will make someone an amazing cat - he just needs a family that understands that at times he could need some more support and may find new things and situations a little scary. He can also get a little sharp and pointy due to some overstimulation so we would advise anyone interested to research this.
We know the right people are out there for our boy and we feel when he settles, he will make someone an awesome addition to the family. Could that be with you?

Gender: Female
Color: White and Tabby
Age: 0 years 6 months
Agency: RSPCA Sheffield

Phone: 01142 898050
Cleo, is a very confident girl who will come for gentle fusses and equally is happy to go off and explore on her own. She can be a little unsure initially but soon warms up to new people and situations. Cleo can get overstimulated at times but we think a lot of that is due to her being here in the cattery environment and that may improve with more space and things for her to do.
Sadly Cleo isn't a fan of other cats and will need to be the only pet in the home. We also think she would be okay with sensible cat savvy children of secondary school age and over but we may consider younger depending on experience.
She really is a very happy and playful cat, that loves nothing more than a game of chase with a crinkly ball.
Cleo will need to return to the centre for vaccination appointments.
