Once Nova is your friend, she is there to stay, she turns into such a playful pup, with just the right amount of sweetness. However, this girl can struggle with strangers and people she doesn't know, especially if they intrude into her space with no respect for her boundaries. She needs people who are kind and can support her in these situations to help her feel safe and secure. Otherwise, she becomes very uncomfortable, and this can cause her to react out of fear and insecurity (vocal). To help keep Nova safe and support her when she is in worrying situations or there are lots of new people, Nova will happily wear a muzzle as she is fully muzzle trained. This is a fantastic tool that can be used to continue her education and build her confidence in a safe and supported manner.
She needs a single dog household with no small furries or cats, and where she can enjoy getting all the attention to herself. Outside of the home, Nova will happily walk around other dogs and interact with them, she just isn't ready to share her family with another dog.
We will consider homes with older, dog savvy children. She needs individual time, love and attention. She will make a cracking dog with this help and assistance. Nova's new family will need to come to the centre to meet her a number of times and to build a bond with her - and be mindful of these stranger worries when in the home, and out and about.
Nova is an extremely clever and loving girl who once she trusts you, will give you the world in love and attention, something you just can't buy!! This is a really special girl, who just needs a chance!

Goose

Goose is still only a youngster–going through his teenage moments in kennels has been a challenge but honestly, he is so worth it.He is a real delight but does ideally need a bully/large breed savvy owner, who are willing to spend time training and giving Goose the consistency, as well as much needed boundaries. He is such a typical bull breed who lovers everyone and everything he meets, including the vets!He loves to be up close and personal with you and will climb up onto your knee for fusses, cuddles and kisses! He has been like this from day one,he never stopped being a happy little soul.
Goose picks up training well and is super smart-we think he would flourish further with more training, to keep his brain engaged. He is brilliant in the house and loves his crate, for naps and breaks. He can still forget himself and at times, act like a little toddler and have the odd tantrum when he doesn’t get his way, but this is why we are looking for a family, that can help support him through this and are happy to give him the time he needs. These episodes tend to happen more when he is bored, lacking structure or consistency and left to his own devices for too long.
While here Goose has made lots of dog friends and will often mimic their behaviours well, but he does rather enjoy a good play session. So, think that a tolerant but playful dog may be could for Goose this will be of course pending meets to make sure everyone is happy. We think Goose could live with large dog savvy, older teens that understand and are used to bouncy dogs, but this will again be pending successful meet and greets to ensure everyone is comfy.
Goose is looking for a home where his new family, are happy to support him with the above, and who can show this boy that his forever family is out there. In return he will love you unconditionally!
- I know how to sit (and lots of commands too!)

Princess Margerhita

Once she is your friend, boy is she your friend!! This girl is super friendly, she adores to be with you and loves going on adventures. She will climb up onto your knee for all the cuddles and kisses! Princess doesn’t know what personal space is, but she loves you with all her being and you can’t ask for more!!
With all this girl has been through, trusting humans completely, can be a struggle but this girl try’s her hardest to see the best in us all. When she becomes a little unsure or overwhelmed by new people in some settings, she will simply try to avoid and get herself away to where she feels comfortable again. A lot of our work with this girl is confidence building – showing her that the world can be a fun and loving place -she just hasn’t had the right chances yet. When she does become nervous or unsure we just hang about and help her work through it in her own time, with no pressure just lots of yummy rewards.
Given Princess nervous but oh so loving nature we feel she will be best suited to a family with older teens who are confident around goofy, bouncy dogs, especially when she settles. We will of course do meets to make sure everyone is comfortable. They must also have had some experience with nervous large, guardian breed dogs.
While here Princess has made several dog friends, so again she could possibly live with another dog, but she can be quite full on with her play. So, any dog must be, confident, able to cope with Princess but also tell her off when needed and show her the way. It will of course all be pending successful meet and greets.
Any new family must be willing to continue Princess training and even potentially take her to classes, as well as be ok with young bouncy dogs. Her new family should also have researched Cane Corso or similar guardian breed ownership.
- I can't be left alone

Belle

Breed: German Shepherd Dog (Alsatian)
Species: Dog
Size: Large
Gender: Female
Color: Black and Brown
Age: 1 years 9 months
Date of Birth: August 26, 2023
Agency: RSPCA Sheffield

Belle is an amazing pooch who has already been through so much in her life and sadly has spent a lot of time in kennels after having a lack of socialisation in her life before coming to us. We are looking for a shepherd experienced home that are willing to work with and understand Belle and her nervous nature.
Belle can be unsure of new people and situations and so we need a home that will allow Belle to live life at her pace without added pressures and teach her how fun life can be but in a way that she is comfortable with. This could include things like lots of confidence building and brain games at home before going on adventures at quieter times of the day and building on that – we are happy to offer any adopters additional behavioural support with this so for that reason we are looking for a home for Belle that is local to our rehoming centre. We know that Belle needs a low traffic household as people coming and going can upset her and a home without other pets while she needs her additional support. She is very shepherd vocal about certain situations, and this can include dogs but everyday we are supporting her and this is getting better, she is also having on-going support in terms of her lead manners as she may be small but she is mighty! Due to her nervous nature we think any children would also need to be late teens and over and have been around shepherds before.
Once she is comfy Belle is your typical chatty, loving and loyal shepherd! She will make someone an amazing addition to their family! They just have to understand that she may take a little time to get there!
For more information or to register an interest in Belle please email us on customerservices@rspcasheffield.org - and we will happily talk to any potential matching families.

Oscar

Breed: Terrier
Species: Dog
Size: Small
Gender: Male
Color: Brown
Age: 10 years 5 months
Date of Birth: January 1, 2015
Agency: RSPCA Sheffield
Email: RSPCA Sheffield
Phone: 01142 898050
Oscar, is your typical sassy terrier boy, who likes life his way and we are here to serve his every need! Once he knows you, he is super friendly. He adores to be with you and loves going on short and slow adventures. He will climb up onto your knee for fusses, cuddles and kisses! When Oscar knows you he doesn't know what personal space is!!
However he can be shy around new people and come across as ignorant - he will just ignore you but after a few meets he usually gets used to you! So his new family must be willing to visit a few times to say hello. For this reason we also think Oscar would be better living in a quieter home with older teens if any children who can give him the time and space when needed. Oscar is very clear with his signals when he’s unhappy so it’s important that his family learn and listen to these!
Oscar will happily walk with other calm pooches but he isn't a fan of giddy in your face dogs - after all he is an older lad now! So we are looking for a home where he will be the only pet. Ozzie is on daily medication and will be for the rest of his life due to his osteoarthritis and so his new family will need to be comfortable and understand this. Sadly this isn’t something that will get better and Oscar will likely need more support for this the older he gets but right now he is as happy as can be and managing well!
We are looking to place Oscar in a foster to adopt home initially to help him transition so we are looking for a home more local to our rehoming centre.
To apply please send over a completed application form to customerservices@rspcasheffield.org - we can't process your form without!

Ragetti

Breed: Bulldog (French)
Species: Dog
Size: Medium
Gender: Male
Color: Sable
Age: 4 years 11 months
Date of Birth: July 4, 2020
Agency: RSPCA Sheffield
Email: RSPCA Sheffield
Phone: 01142 898050
Ragetti, has been through the wars since arriving with us. He came with a very sore eye, that required emergency surgery to remove, but he has not let this stop him or get him down, at all. He is a very resilient chap; and is such a fussy boy with people he is comfortable with.
He loves going on adventures, with all his favourite human & doggy pals, being the popular lad he is! He will climb up onto your knee for fusses, cuddles and kisses, but can take time to warm up to you, if you’re not one of his familiar pals. For this reason, any new family must be able to commit to visits multiple times to build a bond before he can go home, and this might be a slow process, but it will be so worth it as once he’s your friend he's the best boy.
Despite everything he has been nothing but a trooper throughout, adjusting to life with one eye amazingly–you wouldn’t know he is without one. However, this sadly, this has left him with some reactivity around noise and towards strangers, but he has been through a lot. To help support Raggetti with this he is now fully muzzle trained so, when he is in situations, he’s not comfortable with, he can be kept safe.
Being a French bulldog he sadly doesn’t come without a few health issues stapled to his breed. For this reason, we are looking for a flat faced experienced home or a family that have done extensive research and are comfortable managing and affording these potential issues for the rest of his life. Currently he is a healthy boy, but he does suffer from mild seasonal, skin allergies that require baths and regular ear cleaning.
With his nervous nature we think he will be better suited to a quiet home with, adults and older teens, ideally with some stranger reactivity experience. A dog savvy cat is a maybe too, but he is quite a space invader and will be a little intrusive. With him loving other dogs we think a home with a companion pooch would be ideal too for his confidence!!

Color: Black/White
Age: 2 years 6 months
Date of Birth: December 1, 2022
Agency: RSPCA Sheffield

Bruno has been nothing but a sweetie since the day he got here, even when he wasn't feeling great, he still enjoyed the company of his carers. He loves to spend time with his carers and explore his surroundings! He loves to give you head bumps and with him only being a young boy he has a very playful and active side too and loves to charge around and blow off some steam! He can be a little shy and coy when first meeting you - but it really doesn’t take him long especially with a few dreamies to warm up to you.
When he has had his vet checks - they have found he has a psychological (his nerves) heart murmur but has had all the scans and checks with a heart specialist to rule anything physically wrong with him. Thankfully it is just him and nerves/stress and he is a happy healthy young boy.
We are looking for a new home where Bruno can continue to be shown love and all of the fun things in life. Any children in his new home would ideally need to be secondary school age but we would consider younger. He does also adore other cats - so feel he would benefit from a feline friend in his new home too.
Do you have space for our little love?

Biscuit

Color: White and Brindle
Age: 5 years 11 months
Date of Birth: July 1, 2019
Agency: RSPCA Sheffield
Email: RSPCA Sheffield

Biscuit is an amazing boy, with so much love to give – he loves a cuddle and to just be with you. Sadly he has found himself in rescue as an older pooch who hasn’t spent a lot if anytime in a house. He now loves his creature comforts and people interactions but we desperately need to place him in a home so he can begin to experience all the things he has previously missed out on.
Biscuit is toy obsessed and sadly this has resulted in him eating some of his toys and getting himself into medical bother, but he fully recovered and thanks to some much-needed training his impulse control is getting better – although this is likely to be an ongoing issue.
His ideal home needs.
Minimal time left 1-2 hours max while he settles
A secure garden – 5ft fence
No other pets – although he does love other dogs out and about – when walking but we fell in the home now he will be better off as an only pet.
No young children – ideally teens and over as he can be very bolshy and in your face like a typical bully!
Biscuit is a very friendly and happy go lucky kind of boy! He adores spending time with his carers having a fuss or going on adventures! We just need to get to know him a little more in a home so we can get him exactly what he needs as here in kennels he is getting quite overwhelmed and frustrated.
If you think you could help this amazing chap, with a retirement home, then please send us an email to customerservices@rspcasheffield.org.

Kitkat

Breed: Domestic Semi Long Hair
Species: Cat
Size:
Gender: Female
Color: White and tabby
KitKat is a lovely lady who at first can be a little shy, but it really doesn’t take her long at all to come around. She is delightful to be around! She adores human company, so much so she will follow you everywhere becoming your shadow and really enjoys a good cuddle and fuss!
With her coat – KitKat does require regular brushing to keep her fur in top condition– but she seems to tolerate and enjoy this really well, it’s a great way to bond and spend time with her.
We are looking for an indoor home where there are no other cats. As she is a flu carrier, its very likely she will have flu flare ups from time to time, so it is very important that her new family have either experienced owning a flu cat or have done research into what this entails. They can live a happy and normal life but additional stresses like changes in routine, changes in the home etc could cause her to have a flare and need vet support. She will also need monitoring at her yearly vet checks for vaccinations with the adopters’ vets.
We think she could live with children of secondary school age and over as long as everyone is comfortable, and any children can understand her.
To apply for these kittens please send a completed application form to customerservices@rspcasheffield.org – we can’t process your form without!

Coco

Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Species: Cat
Size: Medium
Gender: Male
Color: Black
Coco is a super friendly and confident boy and has been from the day he arrived – even when he felt rubbish-he never let it get him down. He is so fun to be around! He adores human company and loves to have lots of fusses and cuddles with everyone he meets! He isn’t that playful at the minute, but we are slowly teaching him that toys and interactive games – can be fun and a good way to channel his energy – in a positive way. His love for human contact can sometimes make him a little overstimulated and he can forget he has claws at times – but we know he’s not been mean he just doesn’t realise.

When they arrived, it was clear our little ones were feeling a little under the weather and were battling cat flu. Thankfully fast forward a few weeks and although they still have the odd sniffle and weepy eyes both kittens have been signed off by our vet as being ready to find their new forever homes!
Chilli and Ketchup are a lovely pair who are just delightful to be around! Both can be unsure initially but in no time at all they come round! Chip

Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Species: Cat
Size: Large
Gender: Male
Color: Black and White
Upon arrival both boys where super sweet but a little shy and overwhelmed. It was also clear that our boys had very different personalities too! Chip is 4 years old and a little shy and Spud is 7 years old and full of confidence. See below!
Spud – He is a very confident and outgoing cat who loves to be front and centre! He really does just want all of the attention and will give very enthusiastic fusses, head bumps and on your lap snuggles! He isn't really very playful and would much rather have any fuss he can get- he really is a human affection kind of guy – so his new family must be willing to provide this for him Hehe 😊
Chip – In contrast Chip is a more reserved gentleman, who prefers to observe from the safety of his bed and lets Spud do the investigating before he will venture out! He takes time to warm up to new people and situations and will need support in terms of understanding him and patience. You can tell he so wants to interact more and come over, but his confidence is still a work in progress, that we know will be a great reward when he does get there!
The boys do get along quite well, and we think that Spud does help Chip with confidence so a home where they can stay together is a must. Any children need to be secondary school age and but we may consider slightly younger is they have been around nervous cats before.
If you could offer our guys their dream home, please send over an application form to customerservices@rspcasheffield.org - we can't process your interest without!

Sadly the world is a little overwhelming place to be for Zuko times and he is really looking for a new home with no extra pressures and where he can learn to put his paws up and relax. Zuko has his favourite people that he will come for cuddles on your lap and lots of fusses. He will also happily sit out and watch the word go by now with the confidence he is safe and loved. You just need to build a relationship with this boy, but once you are there, he is such a sweet and loveable little character.
Every day we see improvements with him, and so we know he can live happily with the right family so thought we would start the hunt for his forever home. Zuko needs understanding people who realise that if he becomes a little sassy or hides away that it is all a way for him to cope and regulate himself and not out of malice. Ideally a home that has cat experience and can give him that extra space when he requires, would be perfect for him.
We feel Zuko would be ok to live with other felines and maybe a cat savvy dog too.

Sandy has previously lived with other cats and we feel she may be fine to again.
If you have the space for our girl, please send us over a completed application form to customerservices@rspcasheffield.org - we can't process your form without. Due to her needing to return for a vet appointment Sandy's new home needs to be local to the centre.

Coco

Breed: Bulldog
Species: Dog
Size:
Gender: Female
Color: Grey Merle and White
Age: 3 years 2 months
Date of Birth: March 17, 2022

From the beginning Coco has been a big softie, with her goofy face and wiggly butt, she just wants to be everyone’s friend. Typical of her breed she doesn’t know her size or strength and will try to be a lapdog. She is such a clever lady when she is engaged, she just wants to please 🙂 She loves her toys!
When she is out and about, we have introduced Coco to other dogs, and she has made many dog friends while here. She can be both a little independent and just want to do her own thing, or have a game of tag and tumble, which makes her a great buddy. So, this means we think she may be ok to live another similar pooch, but we will of course make sure everyone has met and is comfortable.
Coco just loves to be with her people and will smother you in affection, but due to her crazy, bully nature - she can be a little lacking on space awareness and accidently barge into you (in a loving way of course!). With this in mind we think she would be ok to live with dog savvy older children who have experienced excitable dogs, but we may consider younger too, and it will all be meet and greet dependent. She needs a secure garden too - 5ft
- I may be able to live with another dog
- I could live with children of secondary school age
- I can be left alone for short periods
- I`m a gentle giant(big and strong)
- I know how to sit (and lots of commands too!)
- I`d prefer not to live with a cat
Tango

Breed: Springer Spaniel
Species: Dog
Size:
Gender: Male
Color: Liver and White
Age: 2 years 1 months
Date of Birth: May 2, 2023

Thankfully Tango has been very lucky to live with an amazing foster family who have been doing lost of foundation work with him over the last couple of weeks - and he is now ready to find his forever home. Here is what they have to say about Tango aka Teddy! “Teddy is a very trusting little boy who loves to cuddle and fall asleep in your arms after a long day of learning in the garden. He is a very clever little boy who has already mastered toileting outside although he can have a little accident overnight but will use puppy pads, he has learnt how to sit, give paw and stay. Teddy is currently learning how to walk on a lead and swimming, and he is already using his little nose to find scents.”
While out in foster Tango has been living with other cats and dogs but can struggle with the other dogs around his things due to his past – so for this reason we think for now he would be better suited to an only dog. This way he doesn’t have to feel stressed or worried about anything and can have all the one-on- one attention he deserves. However, he would love doggy friends outside the home to go walking and playing with.
Tango would make a lovely companion for the right spaniel experienced family; he is good with children and can live with cats that are used to the nutty springer spaniel breed. He will also need a fully secure 5ft garden.

Lilo

Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Species: Cat
Size:
Gender: Female
Color: White and Tabby
They have been a delight to care for – and are your typical young kittens into everything and never stopping but do all have their own personalities which is great fun to watch them play and learn together.
Lilo (female) is a fun little spirit who likes to run around, independently play with and chase all sorts of toys but is also quite affectionate - doesn’t like to be too far from a human or another of her siblings. We think she would do well with another young cat in the home or one of her siblings.
Jumba and Stitch (boys) – we think these would be better suited to go as a pair. Stitch is a very confident little guy who gets himself everywhere and anywhere – he loves climbing and exploring – there is no stopping him. He is so funny to watch. Then Jumba is the more reserved of the 4 – he prefers to hang back and assess at first before choosing his moves, and can take a little time to warm up to you, but gains confidence from his brothers
Pleakley (boy) Much like his sister and brother he too is a fun little spirit who likes to run around, independently play with and chase all sorts of toys but is also quite affectionate - doesn’t like to be too far from a human or another of his siblings. We think he would do well with another young cat in the home or one of his siblings.
While still only being youngsters they will all need homes where the family are around most of the day , and we think given their personalities they would be fine to live with other animals and children in the home too. They will also need to return to the centre for their 2nd vaccination and neuter operations too.
- I may be able to live with friendly dog
- I could live with children of any age
- I may be able to live with a friendly cat
- I love company and would like you to be around a good part of the day
- I need to be able to go outside and explore
